The new logo was developed based on our mission: "CEFC exists to glorify God by multiplying Disciples of Christ among all people." We hope that visually the logo will help us remember the great commission of Jesus Christ and the reason for all that we do at CEFC.
When we think of the great commission of Jesus Christ, we immediately think of the Lord Himself as the source of our strength and power to transform, to grow and to witness. Jesus Christ Himself said that He is the vine and we, the branches, can only bear fruit if we remain in the vine.
John 15:1-5
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
Our desire is to be the healthy tree that bears many fruits for Christ. Individually this symbolizes a life that is transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and through obedience to God's Word.
Psalm 1:1-3
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."
