Based on John MacArthur’s book of the same title, this class will take a fresh look at Jesus’ disciples.  They weren’t saints, they weren’t scholars.  In fact, they were incredibly human, but they were available and obedient to the Master’s call.

Series 1: Christian Foundations • Statement of Faith 2008

After lengthy discussion, our denomination revised our 58-year old Statement of Faith to clarify our beliefs in light of our contemporary context and challenges.  The class will explain the new Statement of Faith and explore how the world challenges the truthfulness and application of our doctrine.  By the end of the class, students will have drafted a personal credo that expands on the revised Statement of Faith.

Series 2: Rooted in the Word • Old Testament Survey II

Why do we pray if God knows what we need and what our future would be?  How do we pray and how not to pray?  Finally, when, where and what to pray?  In additional, we will study prayers from the Bible and from historical famous persons; together we will practice praying in the class.  Come and join us.
